Diesel boss buys Viktor & Rolf

Renzo Rosso, the Italian businessman behind denim brand Diesel has bought a majority share in Dutch fashion label Viktor & Rolf.

The duo (pictured) told Womens Wear Daily they had been looking to 'team up with a strong partner to realise their dreams [for their label].' In Renzo they have certainly found that.
The millionaire said yesterday that he intends to turn Viktor & Rolf in to a 'top reference fashion house of the future' and plans to expand the company with licensing deals that will include eye wear and jewellery as well as opening several more Viktor & Rolf stores across the globe.

"It's a new chapter to start building on the brand and to focus on creativity," said one half of the duo Rolf Snoeren, and he added that knowing Renzo also owns the label, Maison Martin Margiela had helped the pair make their decision that he would be the right man to take their label forward.
